The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Accra has planted trees on the 14th of August 2024 at the Embassy premisses in Accra as part of Green Legacy Initiative of Ethiopia initiated by H.E Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) with a message “We are planting for the next generation!”.
The staff including H.E Ambassador Teferi Fikre, the Deputy Head of Mission, the diplomatic and local staff of the Embassy have planted trees in the compound of the Embassy.
Tree planting has become a consistent engagement in Ethiopia for years and billions of trees have been planted so far nationwide and this engagement is supposed to continue as part of the culture of the country. This year’s tree planting has been accomplished with a motto “a nation that plants; a generation that sustains!” This, undoubtedly important initiative to create a better future, needs encouragement from every corner.
በአክራ የኢፌዲሪ ኤምባሲ በሃገር ደረጃ እየተከናወነ ያለውን “ነገን ዛሬ እንትከል” የሚል መሪ ቃል በመከተል በኢምባሲው ቅጥር ግቢ ነሃሴ 08 ቀን 2016 ዓ.ም የችግኝ ተከላ ፕሮግራም አካሄደ። በፕሮግራሙ የሚሲዮኑ መሪ ክቡር አምባሳደር ተፈሪ ፍቅሬ፣ ም/ል የሚሲዮኑ መሪና ሌሎች የኤምባሲው ዲፕሎማቶች እንደዚሁም ሎካል ሠራተኞች ተሳትፈዋል።
ኢትዮጵያ እንደ ሃገር በክቡር ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዶክተር አቢይ አህመድ “ነገን ዛሬ እንትከል” በሚል መሪ ቃል ያስጀመሩትን ፕሮግራም ተከትሎ የአረንጓዴ ልማት ሥራ እየሠራች ያለች ሲሆን እስካሁን በሃገር አቀፍ ደረጃ በተደረጉ የችግኝ ተከላ እንቅስቃሴዎች ብዙ ቢሊዮን ችግኞች ተተክለዋል። በዚህ ዓመትም “የምትተክል ሃገር፤ የሚያጸና ትውልድ” በሚል መሪ ቃል በሃገር ደረጃ የችግኝ ተከላ ፕሮግራም በመካሄድ ላይ ይገኛል።
ይህ የተቀደሰ ተግባር የአካባቢ ጥበቃን ብቻ ሳይሆን ትውልድን የማስቀጠል ሚናም ስላለው ሁሉም አካል ሊድግፈውና ሊሳተፍበት ይገባል።
