The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Accra has taken part in planting trees under Green Legacy Initiative of Ethiopia planned for today, the 17th of July 2023, to plant 500 million seedlings nationwide which has been kicked off by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) with a message “We are planting for the next generation!”. H.E Ambassador Teferi Fikre and the whole staff of the Embassy including the Deputy Head of Mission have planted trees in the compound of the Embassy in Accra. Tree planting has become consistent engagement in Ethiopia for years. Last year 350 million trees were planted with utter determination in a single day and this year, today, 500 million has been targeted to plant in a single day surpassing what has been achieved last year by 150 million trees. This undoubtedly important initiative to create a better future needs encouragement from every angle.
በአክራ የኢፌዲሪ ኤምባሲ በሃገር ደረጃ እየተከናወነ ያለውን “ነገን ዛሬ እንትከል” የሚል መሪ ቃል በመከተል በኢምባሲው ቅጥር ግቢ የዛፍ ተከላ ፕሮግራም አካሄደ። በፕሮግራሙ የሚሲዮኑ መሪ ክቡር አምባሳደር ተፈሪ ፍቅሬ፣ ም/ የሚሲዮኑ መሪና ሌሎች የኤምባሲው ዲፕሎማቶች እንደዚሁም ሎካል ሠራተኞች ተሳትፈዋል።
ኢትዮጵያ እንደ ሃገር የአረንጓዴ ልማት ሥራ እየሠራች ያለች ሲሆን አምና ባንድ ቀን 350ሚሊዮን ዛፍ የተተከለበትን ሪኮርድ በዚህ አመት ወደ 500 ሚሊዮን ከፍ ተደርጎ እየተተከለ ይገኛል። የተከላ ፕሮግራሙን ክቡር ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር ዐቢይ አህመድ “የምንተክለው ለቀጣዩ ትውልድ ነው! እኛ ጀምረናል! እናንተስ!” በሚል መልዕክት በሃገር ደረጃ ዛሬ አስጀምረውታል።
